Bercen is the largest manufacturer and exporter of all Alkenyl Succinic Anhydride (ASA) consumed by the Global Paper Industry.  We proudly supply several successful, full-service, multi-national wet-end chemical companies.

Our ASA is produced from Hexadecenyl (C16) Alpha Olefins and Octadecenyl (C18) Alpha Olefins.

We internalize these olefins using a proprietary two stage catalyzation process. Next the olefins are reacted with molten maleic anhydride to produce high quality ASA. The production process allows us to segregate the C16 and C18 ASA.

The final products can be pure products, or blended in any ratio of C16 and C18.  Additionally, surfactant is typically added to aid the emulsification at the paper mill.
