Surface Sizing Agents
BERSIZE® 6103
(Technical Data) – is a synthetic size designed exclusively for all types of paper and board surfaces. While BERSIZE® 6103 provides good sizing values, it also lubricates so that starch does not stick or pick. When applied with starch at the size press or wet calender stack, BERSIZE® 6103 imparts water resistance and coating holdout for improved coated surface characteristics at reduced coat weight. BERSIZE® 6103 with its anionic charge makes it compatible with many papermaking surface treatment additives.
BERSIZE® 6125
(Technical Data) – is a very unique surface size for paper and paperboard. It may be used alone or in combination with other surface treatments to give a good printing surface to fine papers. Used by itself, BERSIZE® 6125 provides an excellent “ducks-back” effect. Its higher alkalinity provides improved compatibility for most applications.
BERSIZE® 6385
(Technical Data) – is a very unique surface size for paper and paperboard. It may be used alone or in combination with other surface treatments to give a good printing surface to fine papers. Used by itself, BERSIZE® 6385 provides an excellent “ducks-back” effect. Its higher alkalinity provides improved compatibility for most applications.
BERSIZE® 6409
(Technical Data) - is a complex, fiber-reactive, alkyl substituted synthetic nitrogen derivative effective over a wide pH range. BERSIZE® 6409 is designed for use as an internal size in place of rosin alum or rosin alum wax combinations. It can also be employed with fluorochemicals to obtain grease, oil and water resistant paper.
BERSIZE® 6549
(Technical Data) - BERSIZE® 6549 is designed to provide good water resistance properties to paper and paperboard. It is effective when high temperature stability and performance is required. BERSIZE® 6549 is most effective as an internal size and provides a good printing surface to paper and paperboard. BERSIZE® 6549 is compatible with most wet or dry end paper chemicals which makes it an excellent surface size.
BERSIZE® 6615
