  Bercen’s headquarters is located in the Baton Rouge Metro area. This has been a site of manufacturing for Bercen since 1978. Bercen strives to meet the supply needs of our customers even in extreme weather situations. Bercen has an excellent track record of responding to our customers’ urgent needs. The facility includes state-of-the-art laboratories, a pilot plant, on-site wastewater treatment, and warehousing. Additionally, all technical personnel are based in an adjoining office building.  Bercen custom makes formulations to suit individual customers’ needs.

Bercen utilizes ISO-certified partners whose manufacturing core competencies match the needs of our customers in the paper industry. For our line of papermaking chemicals, these partners are located in several different areas throughout the country including, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Iowa, and Massachusetts. For our manufacture of sizing agents we partner with a well-established Japanese chemical manufacturer. Bercen’s headquarters and primary manufacturing plant is located directly on a CN rail spur.   

For distribution efficiency, Bercen also partners in Maine, Wisconsin, and Washington. Although the main plant is well inland from the Gulf coast, Bercen annually prepares for even the most powerful hurricanes by instituting a contingency plan.   To ship products around the US and the world, Bercen uses various packaging alternatives, such as IBCs, tanktrucks, bulk ISOcontainers, and flexitanks.
